Facebook whistleblower Frances Haugen is back in the spotlight as a new film, The Social Reckoning, puts her account before the public. Starring Mikey Madison and Jeremy Allen White, the film recreates her choice to reveal what the company knew internally.

Haugen said publicly she has "extreme worry" about a shift in values at Meta and believes Zuckerberg is pushing recklessly forward with AI. She said she hopes the film inspires others to act, telling The Verge she wants it to give others the courage to go public.
